Scope changes with the property, but these four areas are the spine of any plumbing services appointment with SF.
Tracked down properly. Pressure-testing, thermal imaging where the leak is hidden, ceiling joists checked. Repair, not just patch. Insurance reports available where the leak is claimable.
Old tap or mixer off, new one fitted on copper or plastic, isolators added under the unit if there are none. Stop tap replacements, washing-machine isolators, shower mixer cartridges.
Outside tap through the wall with a proper drain-down isolator inside, frost-protected. New dishwasher or washing-machine plumb-in to existing waste runs.
Sticking lockshield valves replaced, dripping rad joints sorted, stopcocks freed up or swapped. Older houses where the previous plumber bodged it, undone and redone.
Same day where we can fit it in, otherwise next working day. Out-of-hours emergencies are case-by-case, so call first rather than leaving it on a voicemail.
We do not charge a call-out for a quote on a sizeable job (any tiling, bathroom, replumb or boiler work). Small repairs and one-tap-swap visits carry a labour minimum which is quoted on the phone before we travel.
Both. Copper for visible runs and where it has to look right, plastic-push-fit for behind-board first-fix where it speeds the job and stays sound. Whatever is appropriate for the property.
